If No One Is Available to Receive the Delivery
If no one is available at the delivery address, the courier may attempt redelivery, leave your parcel with a neighbour or take it to a local collection point or parcel shop. Details of any attempted delivery, neighbour delivery or collection point will usually be provided on a delivery card or in the courier’s tracking information.
When Tracking Shows Delivered but You Have Not Received Your Parcel
If your tracking shows that your parcel has been delivered but you have not received it, please first:
Check with neighbours or anyone else at the property
Check safe places around your property where the parcel may have been left
If you still cannot locate the parcel, please contact our customer service team using our online contact form so we can investigate with the courier.
Large or Heavy Orders
Very large or heavy orders may be shipped by pallet or specialist courier and can take longer than standard delivery times. If this applies to your order, we will contact you with further information about the delivery method and any specific arrangements required.
Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking details (where available) so you can follow your parcel’s progress. If you do not receive tracking information, please check your junk or spam folder.

What Does “Additional is Backordered” Mean?
When you see “Additional is Backordered” on BarBits.co.uk, it means part of your order is ready to ship, and the remaining items are being prepared within our UK network of fulfilment centres. These items are usually transferred and ready to dispatch within 1-2 working days. This is a normal part of how we manage stock across multiple locations.
BarBits operates several fulfilment centres and warehouses across the UK. Because stock is stored in different locations, some items may need to be moved internally before we can complete your order. This does not mean the product is unavailable – it is simply being prepared or transferred so your entire order can be sent together.
How Our Backorder Process Works
If your order contains items from different warehouses, we locate where each product is held.
Any items stored at another fulfilment centre are transferred to our main dispatch warehouse. This transfer usually takes 1-2 working days.
While this happens, we hold the full order to make sure all items arrive at the same warehouse.
Once everything is in the correct location, your complete order is picked, packed, and dispatched together in one parcel.
If you select Next Day Delivery, the next-day service begins once all items have arrived at the same fulfilment centre, ensuring your full order arrives together.
This process ensures your order is checked, consolidated, and shipped correctly, while avoiding split shipments or missing items.
Why an Item Might Show as Backordered
BarBits uses a multi-location fulfilment network across the UK to keep stock flowing efficiently. Sometimes an item may appear as backordered even when it is already within our system. Reasons include:
Stock being transferred between regional warehouses
Items held at a satellite fulfilment centre
Internal stock moves to consolidate orders
High demand causing temporary stock balancing
In many cases, “Backordered” simply means the product is already within our network and being moved to the correct warehouse for fast dispatch, normally adding only 1-2 working days.
How Long Does It Take?
Additional items normally arrive at the dispatch warehouse within 1-2 working days. Once everything is together, the full order is dispatched immediately. If we anticipate any delay beyond this, we will contact you.
Do Backorders Cost Extra?
No – there are no additional charges for items that require internal transfers or are on backorder.

How to Request a Return or Replacement
Log into your account Sign in to your BarBits account to access your order history and begin the return or replacement process.
Select the order Locate the order that contains the item(s) you wish to return or replace.
Choose return or replacement Specify whether you are requesting a refund or a replacement. In the notes section, provide as much detail as possible (such as photos or a brief description of the issue) to help us process your request efficiently.
Receive instructions Once your request is submitted, it will be reviewed. If approved, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to proceed with your return or replacement. You may be asked to provide photos of any damaged items.
Return the item (if required) For returns, please ensure the item is securely packaged and in its original, unused condition. Ship it back to us using the address provided in the email. The item must be returned in its original packaging with all accessories included.
Shipping Instructions
Royal Mail or Evri Once your return label has been printed, drop your parcel off at the nearest parcel shop or post office.
DHL You will receive a scheduled time and date for the collection of your parcel. Please ensure you are available for the collection.
Unwanted Items
If you are returning an unwanted item, a return handling fee of £4.95 per order will be deducted from your refund. Once your return request is approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how to return the item.
Damaged or Faulty Items
If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please notify us within 30 days of receipt using our online contact form.
You can choose to receive either a replacement or a full refund, based on your preference. In cases of confirmed damage, no return is necessary. We may ask for evidence of the damage, such as photos, to expedite the process.
Refunds
Once we receive your returned item (if applicable), it will be inspected and the refund will be processed within 7 working days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to apply the refund.
Replacement Items
If you have requested a replacement, we will dispatch the new item within 5 working days after your request is approved.
Returning an Order Without Following Our Process
If you return an item without following the standard return process, please allow up to 30 days for us to process your return.
Please provide tracking information when returning items. Items returned without tracking information are at the customer’s own risk.
